Coldplay‘s Chris Martin, David Guetta and “Wake Me Up” vocalist Aloe Blacc appear in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary I’m Tim, about the life of late EDM superstar Avicii.

Avicii, born Tim Bergling, died in 2018 at age 28. With songs like “Levels,” “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother,” he helped electronic dance music cross over to pop radio in the 2010s. In addition to other EDM artists, Avicii influenced or inspired musicians as diverse as Charlie Puth, Eric Clapton, Imagine Dragons and Chic‘s Nile Rodgers, who is also seen in the trailer.

The doc features Avicii narrating his own story, along with commentary from family, friends and colleagues. It takes its name from an exchange in the trailer, where we see Avicii being asked, “If someone asked you, ‘What’s your story? Who are you?’ What would be the answer?” He responds, “I’m Tim.”

In the trailer, Martin recalls hearing “Levels” for the first time. “I had that feeling that I get when I really love something,” he says. Martin and Avicii worked together on multiple occasions, including collaborating on the Coldplay single “A Sky Full of Stars.”

“In such a small time, he completely killed it,” says Guetta in the trailer. But Aloe Blacc recalls a night when a struggling Avicii blew a big performance. “I was running after some idea of happiness that wasn’t my own,” the DJ says in a voice-over.

I’m Tim premieres Dec. 31 on Netflix, as does Avicii: My Last Show, which documents his final performance, held in Ibiza in August 2016.
