*NSYNC reunites — without Joey — at Justin Timberlake concert

It’s not unusual for the members of *NSYNC to get together for an event without Justin Timberlake, but the group reunited without Joey Fatone for Justin’s show in Thousand Palms, California, Monday.

On Tuesday Lance Bass posted a photo of himself posing with Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin. “In honor of Joey’s Broadway debut tonight, we had a date night without him,” reads the caption. Joey is scheduled to join the cast of the Broadway musical & Juliet on Jan. 21.

The post also includes video of Justin onstage, announcing to the crowd, “Much to my surprise, it’s a very special night tonight. They were smart and left Joey at home.” He then introduces Chris, JC and Lance, who are sitting in the audience, as the crowd goes wild.

“I love you so much,” Justin adds. “And the biggest round of applause, ’cause we got JC out the house, y’all!”

Since *NSYNC went on permanent hiatus, JC has largely stayed out of the spotlight, preferring to work behind the scenes on songwriting and production.

Joey reposted the photo of his four bandmates on his Instagram Story and wrote, “As they say, the show must go on while my brothers were together! Thanks I have FOMO!”
