After being temporarily dislodged by rapper Travis Scott, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are back on top of the Billboard Hot 100 with their Grammy-winning duet, “Die With a Smile.”
The song has now been #1 for a total of five weeks — if it can manage one more, Gaga will tie “Born This Way,” which spent six weeks on top in 2011. What’s more, the song has also climbed to #1 on Billboard’s Radio Songs Chart — it’s Gaga’s third and Bruno’s 10th.
Billboard credits Gaga and Bruno’s Grammy win for best pop duo/group performance for sending “Die With a Smile” back to the summit: Sales of the song increased by 96% after the show, while streams were up 3%.
The rest of the top 10 includes several songs that also benefited from Grammy exposure. Billie Eilish‘s “Birds of a Feather,” which she performed on the telecast, jumps from #7 to #4: Its streams increased by 30% and sales by 219%, according to Billboard.
The Weeknd‘s “Timeless” — also performed on the telecast — jumps from #18 to #7, with streams increasing by 51%. And Benson Boone‘s “Beautiful Things,” which he performed as part of the best new artist segment, has jumped from #15 to #9, with a streaming increase of 29% and a sales increase of 515%.
