E! Online points out that the shape of Selena Gomez‘s engagement diamond may have something to do with her 2015 top-10 hit “Good for You.” It’s a marquise cut, and Selena sings in that song, “I’m on my marquise diamonds/ I’m a marquise diamond/ Could even make that Tiffany jealous.”
And speaking of Selena’s engagement, among the celebs who wished her well on Instagram were Jennifer Aniston, Cardi B, Gwyneth Paltrow, Lil Nas X, Lily Collins, Mariska Hargitay and Gordon Ramsay. And notably, the post where she revealed her ring was “liked” by Hailey Bieber, who’s married to Selena’s ex Justin Bieber. Other celebs who liked the post include Noah Kahan, Chappell Roan, Teddy Swims and Katy Perry.
Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the publication notes that this means she’s placed at least one #1 hit in 20 distinct years: 1990 to 2000, 2005 to 2006, 2008 and 2019 to 2024. She’s the only one who’s ever done this; the closest anyone else has come is 10 years — a feat accomplished by Paul McCartney, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson and Madonna.
Charli XCX and Troye Sivan‘s Sweat tour is going virtual. The tour will be available to watch in immersive 3D on MetaHorizon’s MetaQuest starting Dec. 27 at 5 p.m. PT, with replays starting the next day.
