Noah Kahan took some time to jump on Instagram Stories and answer a bunch of random questions from fans, and in the process revealed that he has no firm plans to release new music.

When one fan asked, “When are you dropping a single? I want to cry,” he replied, “I don’t know. I have lots of songs but I am just taking my time and asking the part of me that wants to be constantly available to the world to shut the f*** up a little.”

Along the same thematic lines, another fan asked, “How does it feel to write the most depressing music ever?”

“I love it because it helps me understand myself and my emotions,” Noah replied. “And makes me feel connected to the world when I usually feel like [I’m] far away from it all.”

When one fan asked, “What would it take for a Taylor Swift collab,” Noah answered, “I think Taylor would have to be down but I’m obviously here for it.”

Noah also answered some goofy questions, such as his least favorite number — 6 — and his favorite outdoor activity: “thinking I’m better than everyone.” He also said his death row meal would be a “Slim Jim fashioned into a key.”

And one fan, recalling the lyrics of “Stick Season,” asked, “Do you actually love Vermont?”

Noah replied, “It’s the only place in the world.”
